Spring is in the air here in beautiful Mesquite. As I watch the news about the weather else where I can’t help but feel grateful that I live in the southwest.
We have just completed many amazing activities and events in our beautiful city and many more are on the horizon for March & April.
I would like to thank everyone for the wonderful response to Lucy, my dog that I adopted from the Mesquite Animal Shelter. You have all been so kind and concerned about her, that is just another reason I love Mesquite.
I am sorry to say that Lucy is no longer with us. She was doing really well with her weight gain and also began dog training with Loyalty Dog Training. She had become an active and happy dog, a big difference from the 44 pound Golden Retriever that we adopted in November. Just before Valentines Day she had complications from what we believe was a brain tumor and as quickly as she came into our lives, she was gone.
Lucy brought a lot of love and life to everyone she met. She is a reminder that we shouldn’t give up on special needs dogs who need a loving home and a chance at life, no matter how long that may be.
I wish everyone a bright and beautiful spring. Please get out and enjoy our beautiful golf courses, parks, soccer fields, great weather and spectacular sunsets.
As always, please visit our website at www.ViewOnMesquite.com and like us on Facebook to see additional current events that we could not include in this issue.
Sincerely, ~Kathy Lee
